Sarah Teitel (born December 11, 1979) is a Canadian musician, artist and writer. Teitel was born into a Jewish family〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=How a yoga class helped produce singer-songwriter's debut studio album )〕 in Toronto and grew up in Thornhill, Ontario. Her father, Jay Teitel, is a journalist while her mother, Karen Friedman, is a superintendent of schools at York Region District School Board. She has one brother and one sister. Teitel has released two albums of original material, ''Stories and Music for the Mildly Suicidal'' in 2005, and ''On the Wing'' in 2007. As a writer, Teitel's articles have appeared in ''The Globe and Mail'', ''Saturday Night'', and the ''Toronto Star''. Her poetry was covered in a ''Toronto Star'' article in 2006. Teitel also designs and oversees the Sarah T. line of handpainted vintage accessories, sold in Toronto and New York City boutiques. In addition, she is a painter and gallerist. In collaboration with Shira Leuchter, Teitel is the creator and curator of ''Bardbie'', a series of slideshow presentations that illustrate epic tales through the medium of Barbie dolls. ==References==
